ULTRASCREW is an oil lubricated rotary screw compressor, in fixed speed (FSD) and variable speed (VSD) versions. The VSD version is the compressor of ULTRAOX ST oxygen plants. The FSD version is the compressor of ULTRAAR ME medical air plants and ACIH hospital industrial air plants.

Fixed speed (FSD)

IE3 motor with star delta starter, temperature controlled axial cooling fan, compact footprint with easy servicing and a design optimised for low noise.

Variable speed (VSD)

Direct drive and variable speed control, IP54 motor with Class F insulation, air/oil cooling with cyclonic separator and a pressure relief valve.

Wide pressure range

The variable speed version operates at constant output pressure over a range of 5 to 14 bar, with a smooth start.

Sized for the site

In ULTRAAR ME and ULTRAOX ST the compressor is sized by altitude band, up to 3,000 m.

Is ULTRASCREW oil-free?

No. ULTRASCREW is an oil lubricated rotary screw compressor. For oil-free compression, see ULTRACECO.

Which plants use ULTRASCREW?

ULTRAOX ST oxygen plants use the VSD version. ULTRAAR ME medical air plants and ACIH hospital industrial air plants use the FSD version.

What is the difference between FSD and VSD?

FSD runs at fixed speed with an IE3 motor and star delta starter. VSD uses direct drive and variable speed control.
