No. ULTRAOX ST uses ULTRASCREW oil lubricated screw compressors, with an air treatment chain and an ULTRAK activated carbon tower before the generator. ULTRAOX SC is the version with oil-free compressors.

The ULTRAOX ST plant produces medical oxygen at 93% ± 3% purity from compressed air, with ULTRASCREW oil lubricated variable speed screw compressors and an ULTRACON PSA generator. It is Medical CE marked (CE 1639) under Directive 93/42/EEC and compliant with EN ISO 7396-1 (Medical gas pipeline systems).

ULTRASCREW variable speed

Oil lubricated rotary screw compression, direct drive and variable speed control, designed to work with the oxygen generator for a stable and efficient air supply.

Complete air treatment

ULTRACOOL aftercooler, CTA filter chain, ULTRASEC refrigeration dryer and an ULTRAK activated carbon tower that removes oil vapours to < 0.003 mg/m³.

Compressor sized by altitude

Each model has its compressor size for three altitude bands: 0 to 1,000 m, 1,000 to 2,000 m and 2,000 to 3,000 m.

Purity protection

Alarm threshold at 90% purity. Oxygen flow is shut off and purged if purity falls below 90%.
