Ultra Controlo Delivers ULTRAOX Medical Oxygen Production System at Hospital Dr. Agostinho Neto in Cabo Verde

Ultra Controlo proudly delivered the ULTRAOX medical oxygen production system installed at Hospital Dr. Agostinho Neto (HUAN) in Praia, Cabo Verde, representing a major advancement in the country’s healthcare infrastructure.

The project was officially inaugurated by the Government of Cabo Verde during a ceremony presided over by Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Finance and Digital Economy Olavo Correia, alongside the Minister of Health. The inauguration marks an important milestone in strengthening the national health system and improving access to medical oxygen across the country.

Ultra Controlo delivers a ULTRAOX medical oxygen production system at Hospital Dr. Agostinho Neto in Praia, strengthening hospital oxygen autonomy and healthcare infrastructure in Cabo Verde.

The ULTRAOX oxygen generation system enables local production of medical oxygen according to international standards of quality and safety. This ensures a stable and reliable oxygen supply for hospitals and healthcare services, including emergency departments, intensive care units, operating theatres, neonatology, and respiratory treatments.

Medical oxygen is a critical therapeutic resource used across nearly all areas of modern medicine. Reliable local production significantly improves hospital preparedness and ensures continuity of care for patients.

The project represents an investment of approximately 7 million euros, implemented by the Government of Cabo Verde in cooperation with The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria through CCS-SIDA.

By producing oxygen locally through the ULTRAOX system, Cabo Verde reduces dependence on imported oxygen cylinders and the complex logistics associated with transport and storage. This infrastructure strengthens both operational resilience and economic efficiency for the national health service.
