President Luis Arce Catacora and the highest authorities of the Plurinational State of Bolivia, the director of the Bolivian Nuclear Energy Agency (ABEN) Hortensia Jiménez Rivera, and the Chief Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Argentine Embassy in Bolivia, Lucas Demaría, The "El Alto Institute of Nuclear Medicine and Cancer Treatment" was inaugurated, which in the city of El Alto will provide specialized and state-of-the-art care for people who require cancer diagnosis and treatment, without having to go to neighboring countries.

The center is located in the city of El Alto, which this day is celebrating its 37th anniversary.

This center has high-tech scanners that use nuclear energy to accurately detect cancer through images, it also has two linear accelerators, a brachytherapy area, another for chemotherapy, a simulation scanner, and a pharmacy, according to data from the Bolivian Agency for Nuclear Energy (ABEN) cited by the Ministry of Health.

Ultra Controlo has worked with INTESPROG S.R.L to deliver the highest quality systems to date to the new Nuclear Medicine and Radiotherapy Center in Bolivia. We have installed our oil-free medical air plant - ULTRAAR SC, our Hospital Industrial Compressed Air - ACIH, and different manifolds.

The new complex will have the capacity to serve 120 patients in one day and it is predicted that it will be able to provide its services to 36,000 people a year.

This will be the first of three centers of this type to be inaugurated in the Andean nation: El Alto, La Paz and Santa Cruz de las Sierras.
