The Regional Government of San Martín in Peru acquired two Ultra Controlo ULTRAOX medicinal oxygen generators systems with the capacity to produce 40 cubic meters of this vital input per hour with a filling of 95 cylinders, of 10 cubic meters each, per day.

This is only one of a purchase that will add 11 oxygen production plants in the San Martín region, in order to operate in various provinces of this region.

The two new plants will be installed in the Tarapoto and Moyobamba hospitals, cities that concentrate the largest number of patients hospitalized in ICUs.

“We seek to save lives with timely and quality care. Having a cylinder next to you is not synonymous with recovery. We need them to go to health centers when the disease is moderate and do not wait for it to become serious, "said Leslie Zevallos, Regional Director of Health. Zevallos also stressed that this wave is more complicated than the first, for this reason early hospitalization is a policy of the San Martín region.

The management committee for the acquisition was made up of representatives from the public and private sectors, including two officials from the municipality of San Martín-Tarapoto, a representative from the Bajo Mayo Health Management Office (OGESS), a representative of the Chamber of Commerce, and a representative of the district municipalities.
