The equipment is on the ground. The work continues.

Ultra Controlo has completed the delivery of all hospital material and medical gas central systems to Hospital do Kilamba Kiaxi, advancing the national rollout that is transforming healthcare infrastructure across Angola. This delivery is part of the landmark project developed by the United Nations Development Programme in partnership with the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Angola and financed by the Global Fund, covering up to 8 hospitals across the country.

At the centre of the delivery is the ULTRAOX PSA oxygen generator, Ultra Controlo's flagship medical oxygen plant, which produces 95% O2 purity medical-grade oxygen directly from ambient air without reliance on cylinders or external supply chains. Oil-free, fully automatic, and equipped with real-time monitoring of CO, CO2, H2O, and all critical gas parameters, the ULTRAOX is designed to operate without interruption, reducing annual oxygen costs by up to 70% compared to traditional bottled or cryogenic supply. Certified under ISO 13485:2016 and compliant with European and American Pharmacopeia standards, it is the most reliable standard in hospital oxygen production available today.

Ultra Controlo has completed the delivery of all hospital material and medical gas central systems to Hospital do Kilamba Kiaxi, Angola, as part of the national infrastructure project developed by the United Nations Development Programme for the Ministry of Health of Angola and financed by the Global Fund.

Oxygen generation is only the beginning. The delivery to Hospital do Kilamba Kiaxi includes three fully integrated medical gas central systems. The medical air central provides clean, dry, filtered compressed air for surgical environments, intensive care units, and respiratory therapy departments. The medical vacuum central manages clinical suction across operating theatres, emergency areas, and recovery units with regulated precision at every point of use.

The delivery also includes the complete pipeline infrastructure required to connect every central to every clinical area: medical-grade copper tubing, gas outlets, alarm and monitoring panels, flowmeters, pressure regulators, and isolation valves. Nothing is left incomplete. From the central plant to the bedside outlet, every component is engineered and supplied as one integrated solution, designed to last for decades and backed by UltraCare, Ultra Controlo's 24/7 technical assistance programme operating 365 days a year.

Hospital do Kilamba Kiaxi is the latest milestone in a national project that is redefining how Angola approaches medical oxygen. Across up to 8 hospitals, the Ministry of Health is building a permanent infrastructure of oxygen autonomy, eliminating the dependency on cylinder logistics that has historically constrained clinical capacity across the country. Each installation under this project is also aligned with Ultra Controlo's UltraGreen Plan, a sustainability framework designed to reduce CO2 emissions by up to 130 tons per installation annually, ensuring that progress in healthcare goes hand in hand with environmental responsibility.

Ultra Controlo brings to Angola 45 years of industry expertise and a presence across more than 80 countries. The company has recently completed deployments in Mali, Cabo Verde, Timor-Leste, Eswatini, and the Democratic Republic of Congo, and serves as a trusted consultant to Ministries of Health and international development organisations worldwide. All systems are manufactured and tested at Ultra Controlo's own factories in Sintra, Portugal, certified under ISO 13485:2016, and supported by UltraCare every day of the year.

2026 is Ultra Controlo's year to shape the future of healthcare. Kilamba Kiaxi is another step forward. Each delivery, each installation, each clinical area connected to an autonomous medical gas network represents a permanent improvement in the quality of care a hospital can provide. The work in Angola is not stopping. Neither are we.
