Minister of Health Inaugurates ULTRAOX Medical Oxygen Plant in Kayes, Mali

The ULTRAOX medical oxygen production plant installed in Kayes, Republic of Mali, has been officially inaugurated by Madam Minister of Health and Social Development, Colonel Major Doctor Assa Badiallo Touré, marking another important step in strengthening the country’s healthcare infrastructure.

During the inauguration visit, the Minister had the opportunity to learn more about the ULTRAOX PSA oxygen generation technology, as well as Ultra Controlo’s long term vision of supporting healthcare systems through reliable and autonomous medical oxygen production systems.

The ULTRAOX medical oxygen production plant in Kayes, Mali, was officially inaugurated by Minister of Health and Social Development Colonel Major Doctor Assa Badiallo Touré, strengthening national oxygen production capacity.

The ULTRAOX oxygen plant enables hospitals to produce medical oxygen locally according to international standards of quality and safety, ensuring a stable and continuous supply for critical medical services such as emergency care, intensive care units, surgical departments, neonatology, and respiratory treatments.

The project was developed in partnership with the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria and the Ministry of Health and Social Development of Mali, reinforcing the country’s capacity to generate medical oxygen locally while improving the resilience of hospital infrastructure.

Local oxygen generation systems play a crucial role in modern healthcare. By producing oxygen directly on site using PSA oxygen generator technology, hospitals reduce dependence on external oxygen deliveries and complex supply chains, ensuring that life saving oxygen is always available when patients need it most.

This infrastructure contributes to strengthening healthcare autonomy and improving preparedness for both daily medical needs and future health emergencies.
