Ultra Controlo has officially inaugurated the ULTRAOX medical gas system at Hospital de Benguela, marking a defining moment in one of Angola's most consequential hospital infrastructure projects to date. The initiative is developed by the United Nations Development Programme in partnership with the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Angola and financed by the Global Fund, with a national scope that extends to up to 8 hospitals across the country.
At the centre of the installation is the ULTRAOX PSA oxygen generator. It takes ambient air and turns it into 95% O2 purity medical-grade oxygen, on-site, in real time, without interruption. The system runs on an oil-free compressor, monitors CO, CO2, H2O, and gas parameters continuously, and operates in fully automatic mode with failsafe redundancy built in. It reduces annual oxygen costs by up to 70% compared to bottled or cryogenic supply and eliminates the fragility of cylinder-based logistics entirely. Certified under ISO 13485:2016 and compliant with European and American Pharmacopeia standards, the ULTRAOX is not a workaround. It is the standard.
